Children by nature — are researchers and having little life experience, in their desire to know, may fall into dangerous situations, even in the kindergarden. Children's furniture is different from an adult one not only in size. The furniture designed for children should possess special requirements of ergonomics, mechanical safety and ecological safety of materials.
The child is usually vulnerable to the threats, that are not important for an adult. For example, during bearing formation a child can easily break it and get the problem for the whole life. And often it is promoted by uncomfortable children's furniture or use of tables and chairs not suitable for his height. In addition, improper furniture design and selection can result in injuries.
High-quality furniture for children excludes such possibility, therefore special attention should be paid to furniture ergonomics.
Firstly, attention should be paid to materials accessories, chemical and mechanical safety. For instance, in the production Sintex uses laminated chip board of Austrian trust company EGGER that satisfies the norms of ecological safety (class E1) and can be used at children furniture production. Being heat resistable material, it is not sensitive to hot objects on the surface.

In the furniture designed for children use, opening, pull-out mechanisms and fastening elements bear additional intensive load. Therefore designing our furniture we use hardware of Austrian company BLUM.

For all cabinets and racks special pads preventing furniture contact with the floor after cleaning and peeling of the edge and laminated chip board swelling are used.
Cabinets for children clothes storage are of two types: with a bench place and mounted on special platform.
- All cabinets have special ventilation ports for improved air circulation.
- Cabinets are fastened using special assembly ties and are fixed to the wall.

- Two metal hooks for clothes (that prolongs their service life), shelf for shoes and headwear, fixed by special assembly ties, preventing them from falling out are mounted inside the cabinet.
Door knob is not only safe and convenient, but also can be used as additional hook for clothes. It’s height from the floor allows for use by small children.

- Cabinet doors constructed so that they can swap the colors and the direction of opening (for example, from the right to the left side) depending on the situation and ease of use.
- The bench have identical dimension with the cabinet therefore it can be put under the cabinet base. Besides the seat have rounded corners that protect children from injuries. This bench can be used for different activities.

These cabinets and racks are located directly in the play area of the room where children can take such action with furniture that adults do not even think about, so special attention to safety should be paid, namely:
-pull out drawers and door edges have rounded shape that protects the child from injury when the door is open.
-doors do not have handles and protruding parts that« exclude bumping» and catching. In this case, semicircular slot is a handle itself and a ventilation opening.
- presence of a gap at the door vertically, not only give an opportunity for children of different stature to open the door, but also reduces the possibility of finger injury when opening and closing doors.
- due to half-surface door design in the upper and bottom part the door is «less dangerous»for children injuries than a standard one .
- for shelves fastening special assembly system is used. This system prevents shelves from falling out and allows furniture assembling-disassembling.
- increased sleeper size (actually it’s absence) allows you to take objects from undernearth the cabinet, as well as to clean under it.
- all cabinets and racks have 4 height dimensions, two width dimensions in combination with corner elements (that make the corner rounded) and decorationative elements (at cabinet tops) imply wide range of furniture kits for preschool institutions.
- all the sections are fixed by means of assembly ties to provide steadiness.
The continuous process of growth and bearing formation shows the actual problem of matching the size of furniture to body sizes. Ideally, the furniture should « "grow" » with your child. It is established that the child should sit so that his feet should rest on the floor. It is also unacceptable that a child sitting on a low chair forcing him to stoop. Interrelated parameters of tables and chairs provide the correct position of the body in a sitting position, which is extremely important not only in term of bearing formation, but also in preventing a range of health problems associated with pathologies of the spine, the causes of which are rooted in early childhood.

Feet used in production of tables and chairs by SINTEX (0-3 years) are not only « growing »but also more safe due to rounded shape of feet, table-tops (3 types) ) and chairs. This type of feet is used for easy and quick cleaning underneath tables and chairs and provides easy access to items on the floor.

Beds for children manufactured by SINTEX company are of two types: bed with guard and adjustable height for children under 3 years and a bed for children in the age of 3-7 years. Head of beds has rounded shape to avoid injuries. The dividing panel at the adjacent beds creates a cozy atmosphere, feeling of the child's own territory, as well as acts as a barrier to physical and visual contact between the children, without distracting them from their sleep. In single beds, this panel is wall-attached, isolating the sleeping child from contact with the walls. The beds have enough space underneath for easy and quick cleaning. Colour - a strong tool of artistic expression. There are many studies of psychological effects of colour on the person and despite some differences in their findings the undisputed fact remains that children do not distinguish between subtle shades of color combinations, they are attracted by bright and pure colors. It should be noted, however, that the bright vibrant colors in large quantities can have a negative impact, so the color of furniture is usually considered as a neutral background for bright colour accents - such as toys. Therefore, producing furniture frames we use one neutral – basic color (beech), and three pastels, but expressive additional colors in front’s production.
Kids’ furniture can include educational elements, showing simple geometrical shapes and also assisting in learning to count, write and distinguish colour spectrum.
THE CONCLUSION: Thus, the specific requirements for children's furniture, is associated with knowledge of the fundamental difference between the adult world and the world of children, with the understanding that the child is not just a a small man. In addition to the physical dimensions the important differences are way of thinking, feelings, experience and worldview in general.
